The short explanation of this alert was:

WE’RE SO CLOSE.  Yesterday the California State Assembly passed AB 97, a bill that would require restaurants and bakeries to phase out trans fat from their food.  Governor Schwarzenegger has not taken a position on this bill yet.  We need you to convince him to support this bill.  Write the Governor today and ask him to sign AB 97 into law and make California the first state in the country to phase-out trans fat in restaurants!
